The time is now. For all our voices

I have called State Senator Sandy Pappas to congratulate her on her election victory. Senator Pappas has served St. Paul for over thirty years and will hopefully continue to represent our community with distinction and a renewed commitment to our values.
I pledge my support for Senator Pappas and wish her success in the November election.
I would like to express my deepest thanks and love to my husband, Russell Knighton, who has been my Rock, my family for cheering me on from afar, my campaign team--you’re simply the BEST, donors, volunteers and my many friends and extended family who believed in my candidacy and worked around the clock to guide me, inspire me, and believe in me and the future of our community and state. My heart is overwhelmed and filled with deep, deep gratitude!
Even in these uncertain times, so many of you took the time to meet me, talk with me, and express your desires and demands for an equitable community. Thanks to each and every one of you.
I may not have won the primary election, but victory is never a goal in itself. Elections and voting in them must be the first step towards a better and equitable world for everyone.
Every vote matters. Your vote matters. Your vote in November for Senator Pappas matters because your voice must be heard in the halls of the Minnesota State Senate. Please vote.
Blessing to all of you.
